The exhibiting artist featured during the month of August in the Jane Stouffer Williams Room at the RAL Studio Gallery is Margaret Alderson. Her show of all new work, entitled "Trees of Virginia", showcases Marge's mastery of a variety of techniques. This exhibit opens August 3rd and closes September 4th. Virginia's Northern Neck, "the Garden of Virginia", serves again as the host for the 5th Annual Northern Neck RiverRide.
Join with nearly 800 other cycling enthusiasts on a tour of this special and unique peninsula located between the Rappahannock and Potomac Rivers.
The Northern Neck RiverRide is a family friendly event. Make a weekend of it with Friday and Saturday night camping on beautiful Indian Creek, or rent a cabin at tent city. And for those of you that perfer a little more comfort, choose from our areas accommodations, such as a Resort Hotel, Motels and Award Winning B&Bs.
Mark Saturday, September 25th on your calendar and celebrate the conclusion of National Century Month with an English, Metric, One-Third Century or Family Route along the flat back roads of the Northern Neck.

On the beautiful , historic Northern Neck. Benefiting the River Counties Chapter of the American Red Cross. Registration starts at 9:00 am at the Kilmarnock Farmer's Market, N. Main St. & Town Centre Drive (Rt. 3 in the heart of Kilmarnock). Group departure at 11:00 am for 75 mile ride through Lancaster, Richmond & Northumberland Counties. Ends at Savannah Joe's BBQ in Kilmarnock for Prizes & Beverages. Plus a BBQ Buffet for $7 per person. Music from 1-4 pm. Pre-registration at Ride for the Red (www.lancasterva.com). $15 per driver, $10 for additional rider. Ride registration day of event will be $20 per driver and $10 per additional rider. Includes complimentary commemorative beverage galss for 1st 140 registered. Gift & drawings from local dusniesses and restaurants plus 50/50 raffle.

It is open from 9AM to 1PM.Plenty of parking, easy access and high visibility is at the corner of Town Centre Dr. and Main Street. Bring the kids, the pets, spend the day in Downtown Kilmarnock!
